The 2ndBrain Way, in order

Eight units. Each one ends with something running on your own machine and a post in the room that proves it, including the place it breaks. I built this for my own drowning ADHD brain; the units are the order I would teach it to a friend at the same desk.

  1. 1
The one-page brief becomes a working thing

In one hour, on a free Replit account with nothing installed, one task that gets written down twice becomes a page with a form that writes to a table, and you can say the four ways it breaks.

    Start unit 1
  2. 2
    The daily capture

By the end of any day, every loose thing from that day is in the Inbox file in your own words, and it took under ten minutes.

    Start unit 2
  3. 3
    The map, not the territory

A one-page index that points at where things are instead of holding them, so you and any assistant can find anything in one hop.

    Start unit 3
  4. 4
    The one-job build

One recurring task, said in one sentence, built to run without you, and you felt it go away inside a week.

    Start unit 4
  5. 5
    The handover test

You can run the build without the person who built it, and you can name the three places it breaks before it breaks on you.

  6. 6
The four-write loop: the system learns

Your assistant does not make the same mistake twice, and you can open the file where it wrote the lesson down.

    Start unit 6
  7. 7
    The receipt sweep

Every claim you make about what got built carries a receipt: what it cost, what it saved, what broke. One sweep a week, posted.

  8. 8
    The room as the school

You gave one thing back, credited to you, findable by the next person with your problem. That is graduation.

The live half

The free session runs every Friday at noon ET and one real task gets built in front of the room. The workshop runs every other week and your task is the one on the table.

Free Friday session, Friday, September 25 at 12:00 PM ET · The One Task workshop, Thursday, September 24 at 12:00 PM ET

The prompts every unit leans on are on the prompt shelf, each one rewritten around your world by a two-minute interview.
