The October board
OCTOBER
Rows one and two are commissioned builds. One operator builds them, which is the whole reason there are two.
Row three is a partnership, and it is filled by nomination. Shared investment, and you cannot nominate yourself. Somebody else has to put you up.
Everybody who sends an idea gets a free written quote back inside 48 hours, whether or not the board has room. What it would be, how long it takes, and a fixed price. Yours to keep either way.
Live on YouTube Fridays at 12 PM Eastern, where the picks get made. Follow @2ndbrainway · (904) 478-0440
Nobody has to start at the top of this page. A build summary is free: name the one job you would hand to a machine and one page comes back inside 48 hours, yours to keep either way. The prompts are free, a Thursday session costs nothing and takes one task off you, and a workshop seat is just under three hours.
Way three · three ways to pay for a build
Same build either way. What changes is how it gets paid for.
Two builds a month, because one person builds them. Come through whichever door fits where you are today.
one price
Commission it
One price, agreed before a line is written. You know the number before anything begins and it does not move unless you move the scope. Handed over working, and it is yours outright.
- One fixed price, in writing, before you owe anything
- Built, handed to a named person on your team, then broken in front of them on purpose
- On full payment the application, the code and the data are yours
Good for: you know what you want built and you are ready to have it.
Get the free build summaryno build fee
Partner on it
You bring the idea. I build it for no fee. We split what it makes, fifty fifty. Nobody writes a check to begin, and I only do well if the thing does well.
- No build fee, so the idea does not wait on the budget
- Fifty fifty on what it makes, written down before the work starts
- The same build, the same handover, broken in front of you the same way
Good for: the idea you have been carrying, with no cash behind it yet.
Tell me the ideaover time
Finance it
The same build, paid over time instead of all at once. The price is the price. The schedule gets written down with it, and nothing starts until you have read both and said yes.
- The same fixed price, spread across a written schedule
- Quoted with the build, on the same page, before anything is owed
- Raise it on the call and the shape gets worked out in the open
Good for: the number is right and this quarter is not.
Ask how it worksFinding out is free, and it is the same first step for all three. Tell me the one job in your business you would hand to a machine. One sentence is enough. Inside 48 hours you get one page back: what it would be, how long it would take, and a fixed price. It is yours to keep whether you ever hire me or not. 2ndbrainway.com/build, or call or text (904) 478-0440.
Trade for services is on the table too. Ask and it gets quoted in writing. The prompts I use are free, the Friday session costs nothing, and the workshops are open.
A different question
What it costs to have a brain built for your business.
The three routes above are how a build gets paid for, and they are the third of the four ways in. Below is what you are actually buying, from a single build to a standing seat on your side.
one-time, plus care
The Build · $0 to $3,500 a job
One job, gone for good, is $0 to $3,500. A job is one thing that happens over and over: a quote going out, a crew photo landing in the right client folder, the follow-up nobody has time to send. Most businesses hand over four to six of them, the whole pile at once, which is $14,000 to $21,000. Ranges are typical, scope moves the number both ways, and you get it in writing first. Each one gets built, handed to a named person on your team, and then deliberately broken in front of you so nobody is surprised later.
- One fixed total, quoted in writing before anything is owed
- Built in two to three weeks
- Handover session with the person who will actually use it
- $200 a month care covers changes, breakage and the small asks
Good for: the one thing you keep saying somebody should fix.

The Desk · $2,500/mo
Your team gets a standing desk of mine. Send work to one address, it comes back with a ticket number and a status. Nothing gets asked twice, nothing sits without an answer.
- A queue your people can see, not an inbox they hope you read
- Same business day acknowledgement, nothing ages 48 hours without a status
- Front of the queue for the two build slots a month
- Monthly board: what came in, what shipped, what it saved
Good for: a department losing hours to coordination nobody owns.
Book the Desk · $2,500/moThis is the one most companies should start with.
monthly · standing seat
White Glove · $12,500/mo
A standing seat on your side. Fifty hours a month, the full queue, an SLA you can hold me to, a standing board, and engine care included. Work beyond the hours bills at the rates on the menu, so you always know the number before it happens.
- Fifty hours a month, tracked and reported
- Priority in the queue, ahead of everything except an outage
- Departments as you need them: build, systems, data, creative, press
- Quarterly review with real numbers, not a slide
- Engine care included, so nothing that ships goes unmaintained
Good for: an operator running more than one business who is tired of doing procurement.

Pinnacle · on request
Everything, exclusively, with no per-build charges ever. Every department, every build for your own use, an unlimited queue governed by the SLA. You never do procurement with me again. The number on this one is not posted. One company holds the seat, so the figure gets named in the conversation, in writing, before anything is owed.
- One company holds it at a time, and that is the whole point
- Every department, unlimited queue, no per-build charge
- First position on anything new the engine learns to do
- Only hard third-party costs pass through, at invoice
Nobody has held this seat before. The first one to take it is the first one on record.
Ask about PinnacleWHAT EVERY ONE OF THESE PRODUCES
The thing itself. The application, tool or system built for your problem. Full commissions included, which means a web application, an iOS or Android app, or an internal system nobody outside the company ever sees.
Your own second brain. The source of truth the business runs on, built around what you and your people already know, so what the company knows stops living in one head.
Each engine stands alone, plugs into a department you already have, or becomes the whole company. Two commissioned builds and one partnership a month, because one person builds them and breaking it and fixing it with your people takes real time. Whichever of the three routes you take, that number does not change.
Not sure which one? Get the free build summary, see the whole ladder with prices, or come to a free Friday session first.
The part nobody else will put in writing
I hand it over and then break it in front of you, so you know where it fails before it fails on you.
Most people in this business sell you capability and leave. You get a demo, a login, and a phone number that stops answering. The tool is not the deliverable. Somebody on your team using it is. If your people are not running it without me by the end, I did not finish the job.
In every tier, without being asked
What you get either way.
- Written scope before anything is owed
- A named person on your side who owns it, not a distribution list
- A handover session, recorded, that your team keeps
- The break-it walkthrough
- A monthly line so it stays alive instead of rotting
Tell me what keeps eating your week.
One sentence is enough. One page comes back inside 48 hours with what it would be, how long it would take, and a fixed price. It costs nothing and it is yours to keep whether you ever hire me or not.
