The One-Page Brief
Every job Adam builds starts on one page: who it is for, what comes in, what goes out, where it breaks. This is that page as a prompt. The master prompt
Paste the whole block into any capable model. Give it the one task and the fields, and it returns the brief you paste into Replit Agent to get a working page. The highlighted parts are what you filled in above.
You are building one small thing for [YOUR NAME], who runs [WHAT YOU RUN]. Build exactly what is on this page and nothing else. No login, no payments, no email, no admin panel, no second page. If you are unsure whether something is on this page, it is not. The job Every week, [THE ONE TASK] comes in and somebody has to write it down twice: once where it arrives and once where it needs to be. This page replaces the second write. [WHO FILLS IT IN] opens the page, fills in the form, and the answer lands in a table that [YOUR NAME] can open and read. Build 1. One page. At the top, one line saying what this form is for, in plain words: "[THE ONE TASK], for [WHAT YOU RUN]." 2. One form with these fields and no others: [THE FIELDS]. Every field is required except the last one. Dates are picked, never typed. The submit button says "Send it." 3. One table behind the form. Every submission is one row with the fields above plus the date and time it was sent. Nothing is ever deleted by the page. 4. Under the form, a list of the rows in the table, newest first, so the person who just sent one can see it landed. 5. After a submission, the page says "Got it" and clears the form. It never sends the same row twice if the button is pressed twice. When you are done, tell me these four things, plainly - What you built that I did not ask for. Remove it. - What you could not do exactly as written, and what you did instead. - Three ways this will break in the first week: an empty form, the same thing sent twice, and a wrong date are the first three; find the fourth. - The exact steps [THE PERSON WHO RUNS IT NEXT] follows to open the page, send one row, and find it in the table. Written for somebody who has never seen this before. What this is not It is not the whole business. It is one task, off one desk, done once instead of twice. If it works for a week, the next one gets built the same way.
How to wire it
**The hour.** Ten minutes on the brief (the questions on this page). Thirty minutes with the Agent building it. Twenty minutes on the handover: send three real rows, break it on purpose, then hand the URL to somebody else and say nothing while they try.
**The checkpoint.** Post the URL of your page in #courses with the fourth way it breaks, the one the Agent had to find. That is the whole test. Nobody grades it.
**Where it goes next.** If the second person could send a row without asking you a question, the job is handed over and you have done in an hour what most owners pay for and never receive. If they could not, you found where it breaks before it broke on you, which is the point. Bring it to the room on Thursday at nine.
