Tell me the one job you would hand to a machine.
One sentence is enough. The thing somebody on your team does over and over, the thing that eats a Tuesday, the thing you keep saying somebody should fix.
Inside 48 hours you get one page back: what I would build, how long it takes, and a fixed price. It is free, and it is yours to keep whether or not you ever hire me. Take it to another shop if you want to.
Would rather just talk? Call or text (904) 478-0440.
Once the page is in your hands and the number makes sense, there are three ways to pay for it. This is the third of the four ways in, and it is the one most people take. Two commissioned builds and one partnership a month, because one person builds them.
one price, agreed up front
Commission it
One price, agreed before a line is written. You approve the number in writing, it gets built, and it is handed over working. It is yours outright.
- One fixed total, in writing, before anything is owed
- Built in weeks, not quarters
- Handed to a named person on your team, then broken in front of them
- On full payment the application, the code and the data are yours
Good for: you know what you want and you can pay for it.
Tell me the one jobno build fee · fifty fifty
Partner on it
You bring the idea, I build it for no fee, and we split what it makes. Fifty fifty. You know the market and where the money is. I know how to build the thing. Neither half gets there on its own.
- No build fee
- You bring the idea and what you know about who will pay for it
- The split gets written down before any work starts
- Same build, same handover, same care as a commissioned one
Good for: you have the idea and not the cash.
Bring me the ideathe same build, paid over time
Finance it
The same build, at the same fixed price, paid over time instead of all at once. The quarter you happen to be in should not decide whether the thing gets built.
- Same scope, same fixed number
- Paid over time rather than in one payment
- Terms agreed in writing before the work starts
- Raise it on the call and the shape gets worked out in the open
Good for: you have the cash and would rather spread it.
Ask about paying over timeAnd if none of the three is right yet, everything here costs nothing. The build summary above. The free prompts, which are the exact ones used with clients. The free Friday session, where somebody's real problem gets solved live. The workshops, for when you would rather own the skill than hire it. Or call or text (904) 478-0440 and say what is going on.
The October board
OCTOBER
Rows one and two are commissioned builds. One operator builds them, which is the whole reason there are two.
Row three is a partnership, and it is filled by nomination. Shared investment, and you cannot nominate yourself. Somebody else has to put you up.
Everybody who sends an idea gets a free written quote back inside 48 hours, whether or not the board has room. What it would be, how long it takes, and a fixed price. Yours to keep either way.
Live on YouTube at the free workshop, next Friday, September 18 at 12:00 PM ET, where the picks get made. Follow @2ndbrainway · (904) 478-0440
Recent work
The crew app.
The problem. Sea Pine Landscape, a Northeast Florida landscaping company running several crews ran on group texts, whiteboards, and one person's memory. Every schedule change meant six phone calls.
The build. A crew scheduling and dispatch application, built so office staff manage the calendar from a desktop and the day's route opens on a phone at 7 AM, even where the signal dies.
What they paid. A five-figure fixed quote from the standard build ladder, settled in one payment on 27 July 2026, before the build went live. Not a deposit and not a milestone schedule. On the ladder today, one job, gone for good, is $0 to $3,500.
Where it stands the day you are reading this. Built and handed over. Sign-in, the database, and the parts that have to survive a dropped connection go in before go-live, and go-live has not happened yet. On full payment they own the application, the source code, and the data outright. When it goes live this paragraph changes, and the date it changed stays on the page.
What you can check. A client name goes on this page only after they put a yes in writing, which is why this one is described rather than named. Yours would work the same way. Ask me on the call and I will put you on the phone with a client who has been through it.
Every engagement starts the same way: a conversation, then a written scope with a fixed number on it. If the quote does not make obvious sense against the hours it saves, we will tell you not to buy it.
Care Plan · $200/month from go-live. Hosting, maintenance, and support, priced with your quote. Cancel with 30 days notice; full export and code handoff any time.
Bring the bottleneck.
One sentence gets you a page back inside 48 hours: what gets built, how long it takes, and a fixed price. Yours to keep either way. If you would rather say it out loud, the call is thirty minutes and a straight answer either way.
Tell me the one job Or book a build callSomebody sold you a platform. The demo was beautiful. They handed over logins and left. Ninety days later nobody was using it, and the conclusion you drew was that this stuff does not work for a business like yours.
That conclusion is the thing I am actually up against. Not another firm. So the question here is not whether it works. It is whether you are going to be left holding something you do not understand. You are not, and the last step is the one that makes that true rather than a promise.
- I learn the real problem before I build anything. The build summary is free and it happens first. If the quote does not make obvious sense against the hours it saves, I tell you not to buy it.
- I build for that problem specifically. Not a platform with your logo on it. The thing that clears the bottleneck you brought.
- I put it in a named person's hands, then break it in front of them. So they know where it fails before it fails on them. I am not finished when it works. I am finished when they can run it without me. And my cell number is on this page.
The Care Plan is optional and it is not a leash. Cancel with 30 days notice, with full export and code handoff any time. On full payment the application, the source code, and the data are yours whether you keep me or not.
And if a build is the wrong instrument, say so and keep your money. If the bottleneck is one task rather than a whole system, the $297 private session is the right size, and it credits toward a build inside 30 days if you decide to go further. If you are not sure yet, the free Friday session costs nothing and no card is involved. I would rather lose the slot than build you the wrong thing.
Two things come out of a build: the thing itself, the application or system built for your problem, web, iOS or Android, and your own second brain, the source of truth the business runs on. There are three ways to pay: commission it at one agreed price, partner on it fifty fifty, or pay it over time. Trade for services is on the table too. Ask.
Card payment goes live shortly.
- Money you already earned, collected. The follow-up and invoice work stops depending on somebody remembering.
- Jobs won on speed. Quotes that go out same day instead of next week, because the paperwork starts before you ask.
- Hours back, permanently. Every recurring question that becomes a system is an hour you never spend again.
- An asset you own. On full payment the application, the code, and your data are yours. No seat license, no hostage situation.
Every engagement is scoped and quoted in writing before anything is owed. Two builds a month, so the answer is sometimes not yet, but it is never a guess.
Your build comes with the film of it being built. Every build ships with a sizzle reel of the work, included at no cost. It is yours to use anywhere; the 2ndBrain mark and URL stay on it wherever it appears in public. Everything below attaches the same way: named on the call, priced on the same written quote, never sold on its own. Each engine stands alone, plugs into a department you already have, or becomes the whole company.
- Extra reel cuts · $350. Three more cuts of your reel, one per platform, framed vertical for wherever you actually post.
- Care plan · $200/month from go-live. Hosting, maintenance, and support, priced with your quote. Cancel with 30 days notice; full export and code handoff any time.
- Marketing desk · $750/month. My marketing desk working your funnel month over month: the writing, the sending, and the follow-up.
- SEO foundation · $1,200 one-time. Schema, search indexing, and the files that make your site show up in search results and in AI answers. Done once, owned by you.
- The auditor seat · $400/month. The same watchdog that audits my own funnel, assigned to yours. It reads the numbers and flags what needs a person.
- Private team training day · $2,500. The workshop, run private for your whole team, on your real tasks, at your place or online.
